This clinic is for any level rider and any discipline. It is a great opportunity to work on basic riding patterns, techniques and maneuvers – all designed to enhance your relationship and horsemanship. A fun and challenging obstacle course is set up for everyone to participate in at the end of the day.

What’s New?
Rider Horsemanship, Inc. Relocating to York, PA!


Rider Horsemanship will be officially moved into their new location as of November 1st, 2009. Caroline and her staff are excited about their new journey as it will offer Rider Horsemanship a more strategic location for business, making them more easily accessible to equine enthusiasts living in, and around, the Western Shore of MD, VA, Central PA and NJ.

This Month’s Topic of Interest:
“Emotional Intelligence – What Is It?”


I would first like to introduce the definition of Emotional Intelligence (EI). Based upon Wikipedia’s definition, EI describes “the ability, capacity, skill or, in the case of the trait EI model, a self-perceived ability, to identify, assess, and manage the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups.”

Basically, EI is the ability of one to master self-control over their emotions. As Wikipedia states in the Origins of the Concept, “The earliest roots of emotional intelligence can be traced to Darwin’s work on the importance of emotional expression for survival and second adaptation.”
